Known as the Mooncake Festival (also called Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival) is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month according to the Chinese lunar calendar, this festival is the second grandest festival in China after the Chinese New Year. It is a celebration of abundance and togetherness, dating back 3000 years to the legendary story Lady of the Moon, Chang Er, and China’s Zhou Dynasty.

As part of our festivities we will be holding the first annual Lion Team dance off, with teams from all across Victoria performing their unique styles and routines.

Come celebrate the day and join in the fun with lots of cultural performers, kids activities, and food stalls.
